I get this question every once in a while about Lilly’s playhouse. “Is there really a Lilly’s playhouse like the design you offer?”
Actually, there is. It’s a dreamy escape for any little girl, but the tween Lilly is enjoying it more as a retreat from her parents, especially when friends come over. “It’s a place to go that no one can hear us,” shared Lilly with me, with a giggle.
She has it fully equipped with electricity which lights up the inside with twinkle lights and the outside with Christmas lights, which Lilly feels should be kept up all year long. It also keeps her refrigerator running so that she can serve cold drinks to her friends. (Don’t get any ideas here, it’s apple juice, I’m the one who fills it).
There’s an IPod for the ever necessary tunes to play a little Hannah Montana, High School Musical or other necessary sounds any
tween enjoys.
The design of Lilly’s playhouse was originally just for Lilly, but I’ve found that lots of people like Lilly’s playhouse for notes. We have sent some very creative moving announcements using this design as well as house warming parties and baby announcements like the one shown.
It’s the playhouse I would have dreamed of as a child. A place to go that’s quiet and my own. Maybe I should consider using it while she’s at school!
Here’s a sneak peak at the inside!
Yes, there’s even wireless service…

There is all kinds of activity around here. People are buzzing, the air is buzzing. Our bees are certainly buzzing louder than anything! We have orders coming in for retirement parties (how lovely), bridal showers (how grand), surprise birthday parties (how fun) and my favorite was the elopement (how fabulous)! All asking to use our bumble bee for their special occasions! I love that!

I must say that I love our bumble bees, but only on paper and fabrics or on things like these planters below. Aren’t they nice? I also adore bumble bee pins.
It might surprise you to know that I have an entire wall, in my house, full of honeycomb. Right. Bees make me panic because when I see a bee, I know they are searching out my walls. We don’t have snow removal here, we have bee removal. We have taken out bricks in our chimney and had huge honeycombs pulled out. The first time it was REALLY cool, now… not so much.
So let’s keep the bees to pretty things like planters, stickers, and stationery and keep them far from… me, unless it’s the jewelry… honey.
Buzzz…

On your arm should be a nice, small, fabric perhaps, handbag. There are so many options today of handbags that I admire and I’m not sure the one on the notepad shown even exists. I might want one if it did.

You can get it on all our stationery products, as you know. This is our notepad, which also comes in individual sheets. Either way you order it, you can get envelopes to match. This is nice when you want to send a letter, rather than a short note. There are some times I have more to say and a correspondence card isn’t enough. One of my tricks is putting these sheets through my printer with a fun typestyle that looks a little like handwriting, but a lot straighter than I can write. I find as the years go on, my handwriting gets worse.

This Waterford Roller ball pen writes so nicely, it might even improve my own handwriting.
Write it yourself or have your printer do it for you, but send someone an update about your plans for summer. Think light thoughts, empty that heavy handbag and pack it away. Break out the cute, light weight bags. Just lightening that strap on your shoulder is sure to put a swing in your step this spring.

… a baby elephant! Yes, it’s true. This past week San Diego zoo welcomed a bouncing baby boy
elephant. He’s no little baby, weighing in at 226 pounds. He looks really cute, I can’t wait to go see him at the
San Diego Wild Animal Park. Follow this link to see the live web cam of the baby elephant and other animals at the zoo.
This is one place not to miss

when you visit San Diego.
If you know someone who is expecting a new member of the family, our circus tent design is perfect for using for a baby shower, especially if the mother-to-be hasn’t found out if she is expecting a little girl or a little boy.
Just like all our designs, you can get the elephant printed on all of our products. Wouldn’t the stickers be a great compliment to these announcements? I just had someone order them to put on their place cards and favor bags at a shower. Great idea!
New babies, whether it be elephants or your own little baby, it’s a sure sign of spring.

There are all kinds of occasions coming up where you could be getting together with the gals for showers; wedding or baby, luncheons for birthdays or upcoming retirements. Any reason you are celebrating could be introduced to your guests with our orange bow stationery
pieces. The great thing is, it is young and vibrant without being over the top.
Speaking of over the top, because I love that too, look at this fabulous bag to go from spring to summer to fall to winter and all around again.

I like it because it has sturdy handles, it’s thin and comfortable to carry and fits more than what you need for the day. These two items are sure to put a spring in your step for spring.

I’m always looking for something funny to give friends to pass the time when they are awaiting the new love of their life. These paper dolls are sure to get a giggle from the gals at a baby shower and might even help make bedrest a little entertaining.
But once that little bundle of joy arrives, there will be no time for paper dolls. Reality arrives without warning and all the sudden we wonder ‘what exactly did we DO all day’ without this little being demanding every second of our waking AND sleeping moments.

Make your announcement with style using our maryjanes for a girl or red wagon for a boy. Perhaps you are lucky enough to get T-W-O or … hold your breath… T-H-R-E-E! Whatever the case, Letters from Lilly has the announcement and stationery to fit your growing family. Now’s probably not the right time to mention that you’ll need to write thank you notes for all those gifts…

Earlier this week, I spotted my first sign of spring. It was a mini daffodil, just outside my window. I know other bulbs are sure to follow with their springtime smiles. These bulbs were a gift to me, from a far away gardening friend.

Now that spring is so close, you can surely order some of our geranium fold over notes for corresponding with your friends. I don’t need to remind you how important keeping in touch with friends is… do I? Writing a note can take less than a minute and put a smile on the recipients face all day. Don’t have anything to say, just start writing, you’ll be surprised what comes out of the pen.

There are some beautiful fabrics with flowers and thankfully, color seems to be making a comeback. This is a lucious piece from Brunschwig & Fils that would be pretty on a sunroom chaise.

In upstate New York, where I grew up, skiing was as much a part of life as… snow. Skiing is what you did to get you through the long months of winter. I started when I was just over 2 years and continued until I went to college in the midwest. It was darn cold and I have to say, I didn’t always love it. Our stomping ground was a little place that had great slopes and a nice deck for grilling burgers.
Here’s a place near Whiteface Mountain, Lake Placid (remember the Olympics were there back in 1980). This is the Mirror Lake Inn and Spa. You could enjoy this place all year round.

Here’s our gatefold note with skiers on it which is great for writing notes in front of the fire while you thaw out your toes. See, I haven’t forgotten the reality of it all. These are also great for invitations for a rehearsal dinner, birthday party or reunion.
How about having your wedding on the slopes?
Check out this cake topper. Can’t you just hear the bride whispering, “Honey, don’t you think the photographer has enough pictures? Please put me down so I can go get warm.”

It’s one of the perks of having a stationery company named after you. You can ask for special things for your own party invitations. Lilly wanted to have her dolls sitting at a little table. One doll would look just like her with blonde hair and a pink dress. The other doll would look just like her friend, Emma. Emma has brown hair and loves yellow as much as Lilly adores pink. And so the Dolls at Table came to life for Lilly’s 9th birthday.
Today, Lilly turned twelve. So much has changed since she turned nine. But not the friendship with Emma. They still shared special birthday wishes today.
Happy Birthday my sweet Lilly.

February is when our little, feathered friends need us most. Don’t forget to keep an eye on your feeder. Birds remember your feeder, they come back to it, and depend on you for their food while their seeds are beneath the snow and ice.
If you don’t have a feeder, get one easily online and reward yourself when you look out your office window. If I were ordering, I like this birdhouse, pretty to look at all year. Birdwatching is exploding as a sport. My favorite are the hummingbirds that flitter around my yard all year long. Did you know they flap their wings 55 times a second!
Our birdhouse is more simple and fun to use even during the winter months. Just like all our designs, you can get it on all 15 of our products.
Birdhouse shown here on our gift enclosure card.
