April (Wedding) Showers, bring May flowers (in bouquets down the aisle), May flowers bring June gatherings; graduations, family reunions, birthday celebrations and all kinds of reasons to get together with family and friends.

These flowers you see above are from the Carlesbad Flower Fields where wholesalers, from all over the country, purchase their flowers.  March through May they are in full bloom.  It’s a pretty impressive sight.  When I say you’ll see rows and rows of flowers, I’m not kidding.

How about the birthday cake on the right, how cute is it? It’s beautifully made from flowers.  You can order one from 1-800-flowers and have it sent to someone special.  Lilly received this one from a special friend.  We all enjoyed it for a long time (and without calories I might add).

Flowers is the theme this week, so start your garden if you’re on the east coast, enjoy your garden on the west coast.  On either coast, take time to smell the flowers.
